Synchronicity, Wyrd, the interconnectivity of all things — science cannot yet properly explain this, yet we have all witnessed the phenomena at an experiential level. This very evening is a case in point. I got into the car with my eldest son to take him to football training. I had my Chromebook under my arm with which to write this article, together with a scrap of paper upon which I’d scribbled ideas that had come to mind during the day. We then put on a recent podcast by an American wolf who has his act together, and in the first minute he touched on some of the very ideas which I had earlier noted down for my article.
If such things happened only once, then we could pass these events off as ‘coincidence’… but they happen regularly and it appears that the further one walks along the spiritual path, the more often they occur…
The main problem with the modern world is that the majority of people think that proper political decisions will make all wrongs right. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The issue which first needs consideration is the spiritual wellness of our folk.
Arktos, as a meta-political organisation, can discuss and comment on politics, yet the overall aim must always be to raise the standard of our collective folk’s spiritual health, for this is the only way to alter politics. And note that politics should be seen as all decision-making which affects the wider community, be that macrocosmic decisions in a national parliament or microcosmic decisions in a local motorcycle club, martial arts club or family situation.
In the spring of this year I wrote an article called ‘A Spiritual War’. In that article I wrote:
The pressing issues of modernity may be so negative and extreme that the idea of creating little rituals seems petty and inconsequential, but it has to be remembered that building our spiritual awareness is certainly one of the greatest things we can do to fight back against the dark forces which are against us. The folk spirit of the European kindred frightens our enemies and the light we hold within must be allowed to shine.
This is fundamentally a spiritual war.
The spiritual malaise which affects us all is to be expected; we are, after all, still in the Wolf Age. Interestingly, there are two views on precisely where in this Wolf Age we reside. The ancient’s take on the Yugas would be that we are still deep in the depths of this dark time, while other more recent mystics view mankind as on the ascension.
In both cases, the Evolian concept of ‘riding the tiger’ must be practised, yet I believe it best to adopt the view that we are indeed rising up towards the next Yugic cycle, for the simple reason that an impotent response to the situation at hand will do no good at all. Our folk certainly do not need any extra excuse to wallow in their own misery. Up and at ‘em is the order of the day.
What is required now is focus and spiritual discipline. For me, Odinism is the way forward, for it provides a hierarchy along with balance and a logical lineage to the mythical dawn of our Hyperborean folk.
Rituals (blót) provide structure and although the spiritual teaching is strong, Odinism does not neglect the physical aspects of living here in Midgard. For as long as we exist in this plane, spiritual exploration requires the material, just as the practitioner of meditation utilises the sensation of the breath through the nose.
Nothing new needs to be invented in the realm of politics; there is already a folkish way, which can of course be tweaked to suit the circumstances at hand. However, the success of this way is directly related to the level of our collective spiritual advancement. At any moment in time, there are always individuals who are in a more advanced spiritual state than their peers. But for politics to be healthy, the majority of folk must be on a similar wavelength.
It is our great task to drive this ascension onwards and upwards through a steadfast adherence to our noble ways and with a focus on our divine rituals. As we tread the path towards awakening, we shake Wyrd’s Web and inspire others to walk with us.
