I read with astonishment articles online of the new globalist Tusk government in Poland beginning to arrest previously pardoned leaders of the national-conservative opposition. After barely a month in office, Tusk has begun his persecution of Law and Justice (PiS), still the largest political party, though it was beaten in elections in October by a coalition of Left-globalist entities. Former Law and Justice Interior Minister Mariusz Kamiński and his deputy, Maciej Wąsik, languish in jail cells. The presidency of Poland is still held by Law and Justice member Andrzej Duda, who is calling for the former official’s release.
The trend now in many places in Europe and the United States is that globalist-neo-liberal regimes are beginning to violate democratic norms with impunity, totally unconcerned about the optics of arbitrary authoritarianism in action. In the US, the violation of democratic norms began on August 8, 2022 with the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Florida home. Trump is now facing numerous civil and criminal court proceedings, all of an extremely dubious nature. Many of these charges, the non-federal, state-level ones, were initiated by prosecutors (pockets filled with Soros money) who ran for their office on the promise they would “find something” on Donald Trump. Numerous members of Trump’s 2016 campaign operation have been hit with phony charges and convicted by urban-minority juries. Many of Trump’s former White House staff have also been targets of persecution, especially those who have tried to bring facts to light about Democratic Party election fraud. It has gotten to the point where any high-profile person who has alleged campaign fraud in 2020 is in danger of being sued by malicious actors. This is purely a case of “lawfare.”
In Germany, where the rather moderate Alternative for Germany (AfD) has rocketed in polls to become the second most popular party in the country, the establishment parties have weaponized the semi-secret political correctness police “The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution” to begin a process of banning the AfD outright. It’s entirely possible that before the next Bundestag elections, which should take place around October 2025, a nation’s second most popular party will be made completely illegal.
Efforts by the globalists to protect their turf by dubious, anti-democratic means are shocking on one level and not surprising on another. The agenda of these sociopathic billionaires of the neo-liberal clique has little to do with anything traditionally associated with liberal democracy. Whenever I read anything in the official newspaper of the deep state, The Washington Post, I ruefully chuckle when I read the new masthead slogan of the paper, initiated during the Trump Administration, “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” For folks who hate representative government as much as they do, they sure throw that word “democracy” around a lot. I’m sure the hyper-billionaires and their consultants must have weighed the pros and cons of removing the fig leaf of democracy and have decided to throw caution to the winds. Either they overestimate their power or they are fearfully desperate. I’m beginning to think it’s the latter.
The next two years are going to be difficult ones for the global elites. It now seems likely that their Ukraine project, part of the US State Department-neocon program to destabilize and break up Russia, has failed. The 2020 US withdrawal from Afghanistan signaled a defeat for the billionaire globalists. With the Afghan, Ukrainian and Syrian defeats, one would have thought that the alleged “masters of the universe” would shift to a more moderate Western foreign policy. Members of the Nuland/Kagan mafia in the State Department should be cleaning out their desks and getting new jobs as lobbyists. Even if one takes a globalist view of things, they have been a failure. They remain at their posts as if massive failures were the normal process of doing business. These people are hopelessly arrogant.
I predict the next US President, if he or she is a neocon like Nikki Haley or any Democrat, will involve the US in a totally irrational conflict. One scenario could be a land war in Asia against the Chinese or something equally foolish. The neocons and their globalist masters will never learn. Shelby Foote, the great Civil War historian, said of General Grant that he was “something rare in that or any war. He could learn from experience.” These guys never learn. This will certainly result in a significant national defeat on a foreign battlefield and represent a kind of neocon Waterloo. This will have a profound effect on US and Western European domestic politics. The resulting instability will give nationalists the opportunity to seize the levers of power in both places.
Our globalist enemies, led by arrogant businessmen, think that they can win every battle because they are good at making money, which to them is the alpha and omega of human existence. They consider themselves super-geniuses, and when they go to meetings of these globalist organizations, they hear lectures from certifiable lunatics like James Bond villain Klaus Schwab, whose ideas seem edgy to them. They feel flattered to be in on the conspiracy, even if it may mean the death of millions and the depopulation of the planet.
The reason the globalists will lose in the end is that their worldview is extremely inflexible. In their wacky system, there is no room for self-reflection and reconsideration of first principles. Their worldview is also very shallow. I remember in Evelyn Waugh’s 1945 novel Brideshead Revisited, a character describes a ruthless but superficial businessman named Mottram: “It’s just that he isn’t a real person at all; he’s just a few faculties of a man highly developed, the rest isn’t there.” This describes our globalist oligarchs perfectly. That they might be wrong is completely unimaginable to them. They want to crash Euro-American civilization, a natural, anti-human outgrowth of their nihilistic zeal and part of their culture of transgression. Driven by a half-mad ideology, their shallowness, inflexibility and hubris appear destined to make them fail.
