Sample: Introduction

Archeofuturism, an important work in the tradition of the European New Right, is finally now available in audiobook format. Challenging many assumptions held by the Right, this book generated much debate when it was first published in French in 1998. Faye believes that the future of the Right requires a transcendence of the division between those who wish for a restoration of the traditions of the past, and those who are calling for new social and technological forms – creating a synthesis which will amplify the strengths and restrain the excesses of both: Archeofuturism. Faye also provides a critique of the New Right; an analysis of the continuing damage being done by Western liberalism, political inertia, unrestrained immigration and ethnic self-hatred; and the need to abandon past positions and dare to face the realities of the present in order to realize the ideology of the future. He prophesizes a series of catastrophes between 2010 and 2020, brought about by the unsustainability of the present world order, which he asserts will offer an opportunity to rebuild the West and put Archeofuturism into practice on a grand scale.

This audiobook is a must-listen for anyone concerned with the course that the Right must chart in order to deal with the increasing crises and challenges it will face in the coming decades.

Narrated by Jeremy Taescher.

  • Faye was unique, a spiritual son and true successor of Charles Maurras, the last French political activist who can really rival Faye in output and perennial significance. We can scarcely understand the present and future of the Western Right without reading Faye.

  • Archeofuturism has a quality that might not matter to most of our readers, but at least to those who get tired of dull walls of text: it's a rather light read. [...] Archeofuturism is, despite footnotes and academic references, not an academic work. This is particularly well illustrated by the final chapter, which is a fictional short-story about a possible archeofuturistic future. (Translated from Swedish)

  • There is much more to it than this review can encompass, and therefore reading Faye’s book for yourself is heartily recommended.

  • This chapter discusses the life and work of Guillaume Faye, a pan-European revolutionary-conservative thinker who is at the origin of the renewal of the doctrinal corpus of the French “identitarian” Right, and more broadly of the Euro-American Right, with the concept of “archeofuturism,” forged in the mid-1990s using elements from postmodern philosophy and from the counterculture.
Stéphane François, Key Thinkers of the Radical RightKey Thinkers of the Radical Right
  • This essay is formed by three intertwined theses. The first attempts to correlate the current global chaos with the end of modernity as a consequence of the failure from fundamentally unrealistic, egalitarian ideologies that maintain our civilization at present. (Translated from Spanish)

  • Archeofuturism is Dr. Faye’s blueprint for the future age that will succeed the cataclysms we are foolishly bringing upon ourselves. Much of it is fanciful, but Dr. Faye’s guesses about the future are never dull, and are based in a far more realistic understanding of history and human nature than the babblings of conventional “futurologists.”

  • The greatest quality of this book is that it gives a voice to the growing sense of frustration that is felt among persons form all walks of life that we are living in a transitory period, that the “end of history” is an utter illusion and that old structures are insufficient to contain the force of history.
